This info is from the index in the 20th anniversary issue, Mar/April 1994.
Stereo World March/April 1979 (Vol.6 No.1)"Mounting Card Views" and
July/August 1984 (Vol.11 No.3) "Print Trimming and Mounting"
I don't have these issues, didn't join NSA until '92. They say to write
for price and availability of back issues.

PSA Journal June 1996, Vol.62 No.6 "The Medium of Stereo Cards", by Stan
White, APSA.
I've got this one. He starts out with a quick primer on stereo and the
various methods of obtaining stereo pairs, then gets into a detailed
description of the sequence and method of trimming the pairs for optimum
presentation. Also covers where and why to position stereo window.
