3M Scotch Magic Tape (Green plaid frosted tape, single sided) is said
to be archival. The Red plaid shiny tape is not archival. Calling 3M
customer service (which I have not done) is probably the best way to
find out.
I use Century photo mount sheets (like the double sided adhesive
sheets others have mentinoed) that are marked as being archival. I
cut the sheet to the size of the photo before I remove the release
paper. I've only mounted a few cards so far, I'm mostly doing medium
format slides.
