Agreed. The nimslo patent that I read ages ago said the exposure
was through the cylindrical lenses, unless my memory is failing
faster than I thought. I have noticed that I tend to forget
trivial stuff, like people's names, rather than serious 
technical stuff, or equations.

However, the backing is not cardboard, it's a paint coating.
I found I could remove it with chlorine bleach, along with the
emulsion. Provides a cheap source of lenticular material unless 
all of your prints are priceless.
