While I don't think anyone should be attacked for posting something to this
list that definitely pertains to 3-D, you have to admit, Bob, that your
product is bound to produce extreme skepticism in a community as
knowledgable as this one.

I respect the time and effort it takes to come up with an invention and
apply for a patent, and yours may very well produce an interesting effect.
However, I do not believe that it will take a 2-D image and create a "true
stereoscopic" image.  The only hope any device would have of doing this
would be during a lateral dolly shot in a movie or TV show.  And this is a
tiny fraction of the time in any program.

Without true inter-frame horizontal displacement in the program, the image
information for stereo vision DOESN'T EXIST.  I say that an attempt to
synthesize it is indeed a crock.  I invite you to tell me why it isn't.
