P3D Dr. T on Boris Site

I visited Boris site and found it to be very well done! I agree with
Dr.T that it will be a matter of time before the site will include hypo,
hypers and alike. I believe it is a natural progression for serious
stereographers to explore all aspects and techniques of stereo. I say
this because I agreed with Boris's outlook several months ago.
Reproduce what is there as accurately as possible....do not change
aspect ratios, do not saturate color, do not alter the stereo window
beyond my recollection of the scene, and never go beyond 50mm focal
length!
Several months later I am violating every belief I once had. Hypers,
hypos, effects filters, Velvia and other saturated films, window
exaggerations.....I'm trying them all! The truth is a good photo in 2-D
inspires me more than an average 3-D photo. There is nothing more
satisfying that pushing the envelope to create a great 2-D
image......then add the second chip and WOW! I look at one side of the
pair first, if it is not a good 2-D slide, I will not view it in 3-D,
I will not mount it either. My " break the rules" shots seem to be the
favorites amoung my critics. MARK DOTTLE
