I'm guessing, but it sounds like your talking about the technology which
NuVision
now markets.  They are a Tektronix spin-off.  In addition to the regular LCS
goggles they sell (which Canopus bundles with their TOTAL 3D), NuVision makes
professional systems where a large shutter is placed over the whole screen and
user(s) wear passive polarizing eyewear.
