There are many explanations and this has been a topic of discussion
in the past in this list.  Bob, it seems to be that you are not just
asking but have an answer yourself.  Why don't you tell us your
opinion?  Why did polarized 3d projection (or 3d movies in general)
did not become more popular, in your opinion?
