P3D Re: 3D movies a fad?

No way!

I love those things coming through the window. When we saw
"Pirates" this summer in Sea World, the scenes that everybody
loved and remember now are the ones that things were coming
through the window. (Things like bees, bats, etc.)

On the subject of motion parallax, there is a movie played in
Niagara Falls' visitor's center. I don't know what is so
special about this movie (size etc.) but it looks very realistic
and there are scenes that you feel you are seeing 3d. I was
talking to a guy after a stereo slide presentation and he
mentioned "that 3d movie at Niagara Falls". I asked him if
he remembered if he was wearing glasses and he said he was
not. He still thought the movie was in 3d. When was the last
time that someone called a flat still picture, 3d? Motion
makes a world of difference.
