Just a couple of weeks ago. In rec.photo.equipment.large-format they
were discussing an exhibition by John Sexton (one of Ansel Adams' last
assistants) in California. In describing one of the prints one person
said (approximately, can't find the article now) "it was one of those
prints that had enough depth that you believe you could just walk
right into the scene." Of course this was a fine art print made by
one of the best photographers/printers around today. And heavens
forbid it was black and white.
