I know I am hurting myself... sounding as if I say that ALL 2d pictures of
clouds are boring... But I said "sometimes"... I have seen very nice 2d
pictures of clouds, usually sunset with a plane in the picture (airline
advertisements).  So GOOD 2d pictures of clouds are possible but usually
out of the reach of the poor fellow sitting behind a dirty window by the
plane wing, crammed and fatigued, flying around noon in the wrong side of
the plane.... So, try a bit of 3d instead of just plain 2d.  Also, try
using warming filters to beat some of the bluiness and haze of the
atmosphere.  In one plane ride, the windows were darker/warmer.  My
pictures (without filter) look like sunset.  I liked it!
