I found that my (Japan) Nimslo is very sensitive to battery status.
Originally when I got it, the batteries were a bit weak, and the shutters
and flash sync were doing very strange things. A new set of batteries
cleared the problem right up. It could well be that battery status might also
heavily affect the accuracy of the light metering circuit.

Just a thought...
