P3D deer lights

Around here, we are seeing quite  profusion of a new (to me) decoration
which appears to be either a wicker (but more likely aluminum) deer 
sculptures which have white lights distributed over the surface. It
occurs to me that at the proper angle, in 2D all you'd get would be 
a mass of unrelated lights, but in 3D you'd get a nice depth oriented
display.

Two questions - has anyone tried this yet?

Where are all these coming from? Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, somewhere
else?
