Hi Boris! One solution to this would be to increase strobe power (studio
heads w/pwrpak). Even using them with umbrellas they'd give you anywhere
from f.11 to f.32 light. Using medium speed film (100asa) this would let
you have more time (1 or 2 sec.) during which you can manually fire your
strobes. (At these f. stops any normal to rather strong ambient lighting
won't register on the film.) I'm sure you already knew this but I thot
I'd throw it on the list for anyone else who might find it helpful.
I realise this is a costly fix ($500-$1000) but well worth it! Maybe we
can get our models to PAY US, to take thier pictures!!
