P3D Anaglyph Projectors

Okay, I know that there have been anaglyph projections in the past,
but I don't recollect any mention of anyone ever converting a
regular polarizing 3-D projector to anaglyph. Specifically, what
I'm wondering, it seems it would be simple to take out the polarizing
filters (if needed) and replace them with red and blue filters.
Then one can project on ANY surface and view anaglyph 3-D. I
realize there would be some drawbacks but wondered what others
experience doing this is? At the very least, it would have a
novelty factor aspect to this.
