Oo. Oo. Save that URL for when you can take a look.
>Can the kite support my Stereo Realist?
To quote from the web page, "Most kite aerial photographs are taken using
single line kites and there is an entertaining world of possibilities
awaiting the selection of your camera-lofting platform." and, "By and large
they [camera equipment] weight less than the 49 pounds of George Lawrence's
panoramic camera.. "
But, it's the pictures I found surprising. When I think aerial, I haven't
been thinking the 50' to 100' or so that are represented here. Morning mist
over the Berkeley marina, from mast height. Looking down on the Berkeley
campus with the Campanile bells in the immediate foreground. A small park in
autumn, taken slightly above the bare-limbed trees. A surfer riding a wave,
taken from above and behind him, looking toward the beach. All marvelous
perspectives that would render exceptionally well in 3-D. Architecture!
Scenics! Geeze, I gotta go build a kite!
