I've seen a Kodak stereo camera with an asking price of over $300,
and for all I know he was offered $250 and refused.  Doesn't mean
that Kodaks are now real spendy (at a show).

I've noticed on EBAY that sometimes an item will for for an 
outrageous price and just a month (or days...) later another
will go for "a song".  

Sometimes it's the same seller because they tried shooting for
the moon and missed.

Auctions are so much fun... :-)
