P3D Small Antique Stereo Cards

While looking through an antique store with my wife this week I saw a
stack of what looked like small stereo cards less than half the size of
Holmes style stereo prints. The cards each contained a left and right
image and the total dimension of the cards were about 1 1/2 inch by 4
1/2 inch. It looked like they were home pictures because dates and
names were printed in the back of the pictures with a fountain pen.
Most of the pictures were taken in the mid to late 1920's.

Does any one know what camera would take these kind of pictures and what
viewer would be used to look at them? I free-viewed them and they were
indeed in stereo.

Thanks for any answers. Happy Holidays everybody!
