I mainly use amazon for really hard-to-find in-print or soon-to-be printed books
and ABE and others for the out-of-print items (aside from telescopes, no need to
search for kids space books either ;) ;).  

Amazon has actually found an out-of-print book for me that wasn't listed 
anywhere else so sometimes it works!  I was going to mention the other great 
feature of amazon which is you can also enter in keywords in their "eyes" 
service and they will notify you by email when any books are available in your 
area of interest (i.e. *3D* so this post stays on topic :).

I agree with Peter too that these 2 sites are definitely the future of commerce 
on the net!
