P3D Stereogram Vol. 2, No. 4

We are getting ready to mail about 100 copies of the Stereogram 2.4
tommorrow. We now have 41 members and 56 subscribers. Most of our
subscribers come from photo-3d.

At this point we are not looking for more subscribers because the
number is already high enough for one person to handle, plus we
have ran out of back issues. We produce 125 copies and that's
plenty. What we are planning to do is put together all the
newsletters for this first year (total of 12) in a bound edition
and offer it for sale sometime after June.

So, if you have not subscribed but would like to read this material,
and don't mind waiting, it will be available later this year. If
you are a subscriber but like this all-together option, you will
have a chance to switch next year. If you are not a subscriber
and cannot wait until June :-) and would like to join Pauline
Sweezey, John Dennis, Ron Zakowski, David Starkman, Susan Pinsky,
Dalia Miller, Colin Clay, Ron Fredrickson, Billy Turner, Frances
Walling, Ray Zone, John Waldsmith, Ron Labbe, et al. (boy, I like
to throw in some big names ;-)) then go ahead and send your $12
check and will squeeze you in :-) (Write it to the "Ohio Stereo
Photographic Society" and send it to our Treasurer Ken Mondak,
6801 Brecksville Rd., Ohio, 44131)

Contents of Vol. 2, no. 4 (January 1998):

- President's Report (as always, the latest news of our club)
- A Stereo Treasure, by Chuck Weiss ("A rare find uncovered in a flea
market in Tijuana Mexico and brought safely back to Ohio... 1000
glass stereo plates, positives, negatives and Autochromes, offer a
  unique glipse of the past...")
- Chuck Weiss, A Stereo Autobiography
- Scanning Stereo Slides on a Budget, by George Themelis

For the first time we have included stereo slides. All the stories
are well-illustarted. Also for the first time we carry "Classified
Ads" (illustrated too!) and members/subscribers can place free ads.

The next issue will be devoted exclusively to Stereo Prints.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday January 6th. The program is "Stereo
Cards - Past and Present" by John Waldsmith, and "Macro Stereos of
Minerals" by Sam Leber.

Contact me for directions or any questions.

Regards -- George Themelis, President OSPS.
