P3D Twin P&S Yashicas

I have been quite happy with my cheap P&S Yashicas. These feature
glass lenses and 28mm, f4.5 optics. They are fixed focus and have
very good exposure control. I have shot plenty slides with very
good exposures. Some I even have transferred to Kodak CD and was
very happy considering they were produced from $50 P&S cameras!
The stereo base horizontally is 120mm and vertically a respectable
62mm, using a very slim and adaptable hinge bar. The focussing range
is from 4 feet to infinity and images are pretty sharp in bright
daylight with 100 ASA film but for shots indoors greater than 5 feet,
200 ASA film minimum is recommended, to get sharper images. If anyone
is interested in trying these, they are a pair of Yashica Impression
Plus. They are pretty compact and also feature panoramic mode, LCD
display, red-eye reduction and some other features. They also have
have an auto-focus version, which was more expensive and would have
been one more unknown variable to contend with. Plus I figured the
fixed-focus version would be set for maximum depth of field.
This leads me to my next post.
Gabriel
