P3D RE: PHOTO-3D digest 2484

Reference; THE ROBE,

As one of the original founder members of the Widescreen Association,  I know that we did extensive research in to this film and found that the film had been 6 weeks into production in the old-fashioned format before CinemaScope (Hypergonar) filming commenced.   As you know,  we have handled the original anamorphic lens used on this film,  and were also the U.K. agents for Societe Technique D'Optique De Precision.....Professor Chretiens original company in France (the man who 'invented' CinemaScope) and had extensive conversations about this film.    We are still friendly with the, now-retired,  manager of that company.

At no time was there any mention of a 3-D version.......methinks that this is wishful thinking on someones part!
