P3D Screen for Project or view

I recently bought a soon to be working Project-or-view. I am assuming that
I will need a silver screen to project onto. I'm not sure what size screen
to get.
Also, the projector arrived without a power cable. Is this a difficult
item to find? I was told that old coffee makers and that sort of thing have
a similar cable, but Future Shop was right out of 50's coffee makers. Any
assistance in these matters is appreciated greatly.
BTW I had my first experience over the holidays with IMAX 3D (Nutcracker)
in Vancouver. We were given large Polaroid glasses that even my 4 yr. old
daughter found pretty comfortable. It was great! There was a cartoon which
preceeded it about some painters who spilled their paint when their ladder
fell over. My daughter was reaching out to touch the paint blobs, which
very realistically appeared just inches from our faces. In one scene in
Nutcracker where the uncle is showing off some of his antique toys, the 3D
effect seemed to invert and created a very uncomfortable sensation. But it
was otherwise very successful (IMHO).
I also saw the 3D laser cartoon at Science world, which was very
disappointing. Hard to compete with IMAX 3D.
