No, what I meant is this:  A beginner sees a wondeful nature scenic.
He pulls his camera and takes a picture so he can for ever remember
this scene.  When he gets the flat prints back he is very disappointed.
Nothing there reminds him of what he saw.  All the magic is gone.
It is a record but nowhere near what his eyes saw.

Same beginner gets a stereo Realist and slide film :-)  He takes a
3d picture of the scene.  He views 3d picture in red button viewer :-)
Now you're talking!!!  Finally, he can capture the magic as his 
eyes saw it!

Beginner is not frustrated with 2D photography but with his inability to
cature the scene in 2D.  It works much better in 3D.  Of course, as you
point out, later this beginner attempts to mount stereo slides.  Now
we have a different kind of frustration... but that's another issue.

Hey, I just saw a stereo picture of this cat, not too long ago!!!
The world is small, isn't it? :-)
