P3D Re The Duoplane Siverama Screen

All the screen that Bob Stern "The Radio Guy" wrote about in digest 2500
2/2 would seem to do is crate two layers of projection . One on the
translucent fabric and one behind on the silver screen. I tried out a
similar idea that was reprinted in a current "Magic Lantern Journal" for
collectors so it would seem to be an old idea . Although this simply used
one screen with a large circular hole cut in in front of a second screen
which I think was supposed to be silvered . I may be able to check the
details tonight, at the time I tried it out using a Kodak Ektalite silver
screen and perhaps also my own stereo silver screen with a large sheet of
white card with the whole cut in it in front . Of course only one plane at
a time can be in focuss and I was not at all convinced of the effect but I
suppose a translucent screen may work better but it would not be true
stereo and I cannot see how it could have any advantage for true stereo
projection. Shurely the white fabric screen would depolarise the image.
