This is one of many inexpensive single lens 2D projectors for Viewmaster
reels- I don't know anything about this particular one but the seller
says it is from the 60's. Most of these are low wattage designed for
kids to use to project a short distance onto a small cardboard screen.
(I have a small fold-up cardboard "Screenette" that  was sold as a
separate accessory by Sawyers.) The shadowbox style as in this listing
apparently was sold with many of the projectors as a "theatre set". I
