I experienced the same one day and I had to tell them to get their
anamorphic lens right. The projectionist had not noticed it - and I even
got my money back. This was in the USA - and would never happen in Germany
(and I don't mean the anamorphic distortion, I mean the part with the
money :-)

I must admit that until 1997 (the year I bought a 35mm movie projector and
a gew 3D-movies) I didn't know that much about movies, and 3D-movies in
particular. But it's not all that difficult to correctly project a stereo
movie if you are watching a few details.
BTW: just found a copy (even in German!) of "Jaws 3D" and "Coming at ya!"
for my collection. I'm looking forward to another family 3D-movie-night!
