Perhaps an old-fashioned bulb.  You know, you squeeze a rubber bulb that has
a small rubber hose that goes to an acutator at the camera.  With one bulb
and a tee, you should be able to simultaneously fire two cameras which are 
quite far apart.  I still see one of those types of things once in a great
while.

Hey, if it's a bit on the dark side, you can use the 'B' setting on the
cameras too.  You know, the Bulb setting.   :-)
