I just returned from the annual meeting of the Northern California
division of the National Stereoscopic Association. Once again it
was great! We meet at the "secret" location of Industrial Light
and Magic in a beautiful high tech theatre room that included one
of the original R2D2's. It also contained highly detailed models
from the movies Jurassic Park and Casper.

Bob Bloomberg's images were amazing! The show included a preview of
the next George Coates Performance Works 3-D theatre set. NSA members
showed their works, including some members of the Oakland Camera Club
(see http://www.jps.net/baize/occ.htm ). :-)

One of the more interesting demonstrations was the display of the
polarizing inks. These images are printed, using a normal ink jet
type printer. The prints are viewed with standard polarizing 3-D
glasses. They are beautiful and compare well with traditional
Vectrographs. The examples we saw were printed on a reflective
surface, transparencies are also available. Kits that will allow
you to print your own on an HP or Epson ink jet will be available
"soon". A graphics service bureau in San Francisco
(San Francisco Imaging Services, Inc) is offering to make 7x10
prints for $85 each (ouch).

Honestly, no lie :-) :-)
