P3D New York Stereo Meet

>>Jon's show was a lot of fun, with some interesting
juxtapositions of images using the Brackett Dissolver. My favorites
were some of the eye-popping shots of machinery. Eric's B & W shot of
the great 5th Avenue crater, which Jon slipped into his show
unannounced, led to a few double-takes. In black and white, it could
have been taken 100 years ago, until you notice the modern excavating
equipment in the background. By special request, Jon's first slide was
a shot taken at the NY Society's inaugural meeting, which showed the
traditional stereo viewing audience complete with funny glasses. Not
anaglyph!
Another fun meeting; thanks to Greg and Eric for putting it on; looks
like Dave Hutchison has also been co-opted to help! I'm looking forward
to the next one. Bill Burns

Bill,
Appreciated the nice comments on the meeting ....it was a great time,
meeting Les, spending time with all of you (never enough) The NYSS is
off to a great start with Greg and Eric ....now everyone down there in
NYC....get in touch with Eric and Greg and help to expanD-D-D the
possibilities for the club. In two meetings at over 100 people, it took
us years to achieve those numbers in SNE....NYC's population density
aside, I am always amazed when I talk to stereo enthusiasts all
over...who are in large cities...and have no idea that there are others
that are active in stereo, right in their own backyard....or in NYC's
case...in the apartment across the way!
