P3D Standards Projection/tape

Until now I have found nothing written about how to mark and arrange simple
projection shows with beep cues from a 4-track cassette tape recorder. I
know that there could be as many systems as autors, but I suppose that one
system must be the preferred by the projectionists?
I have arranged my shows with a blank(black) slide at the start, marked 00,
and the first slide of the show (i.e. title ) marked 01. After the last
slide of the show I put another blank (black) slide. The first cue in
track 4 is for changing to slide 01. I think this is the correct way - but
it goes wrong from time to time?
It would be most practical for both projectionists and the authors if there
were standards for the most common systems with one or more projectors,
with precise descriptions and names of the standards. Those standards
should be printed in 3d periodicals, and repeated on the entry forms as
well. The standards should be accepted beforehand by ISU, NSA, PSA etc.
