Following Dan Shelly's recent request on behalf of Dan Lyons for Realist
format labs, I and others contacted Dan with info.

Dan L. recently responded with this interesting information regarding the
Qualex/Kodalux Lab in Dallas:

>I talked to EKC in Rochester re:stereo processing
>labs. They listed seven; two were in Dallas: Kodak Premium Processing
>and Qualex, Inc. Both were Kodak "affiliates". Talked to both of them,
>only to learn that they were not only one and the same (for stereo
>processing purposes) but that they didn't even do the work.
>
>Talked directly with Qualex, Inc (Dallas) and Kodak Premium Processing
>(also of Dallas). Different phone numbers and addresses, but same
>message "Qualex Processing Labs" or similar. Anyway, after talking with
>both firms it was learned that they do <<not>> process their chromes in
>Dallas. All of the work is now done at another of their branches:
> Qualex, Inc.
> 1630 Route 208
> Fairlawn, NJ 07410
>Their customer service number is 1-800-345-6973. Expect a 3-7 minute in
>the queue.
>They went further . . . please do not sent films to any of the Dallas
>addresses, and clearly mark all canisters "3D Kodak Stereo REalist
>Processing".
>Dallas confirmed that the pricing would be the same as they had quoted,
>and using the direct New Jersey address might trim a bit of time off the
>2-3 week turn around.
> THANX THANX THANX for the helpful (and supportive) response to
>my call in the wild! :-)
>
>I know that the original mailing wasn't precisely on this target, but it
>would seem that some confusion has arisen because I announced that I had
>been informed by a local photo merchandiser that the Dallas lab had
>closed.
>
> Anyway, thanks to you, too, for your wonderful assistance in my
>time of need . . .
>
> Dan Lyons
> djlyons@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
