P3D New to list, Kodak Question

Hi, I'm new to the list, trying to decide which camera to get. I like
the look of the Kodak, but someone told me they have a problem with slow
shutter speeds due to dust getting into them. Is this easily fixable?
Why would someone prefer a Kodak over a Realist? Thanks, John Gaasland.
