The line between "gimmick" and "tool" is very thin.  Stereo has
and can be used as a very good promotional tool.

I have many examples documenting industrial operations, small
parts, complicated machines, products (from tools to shoes).
All these make a fine promotional tool.  As a matter of fact,
in my "Stereo Imaging in Science and Industry" presentation
I emphasize that stereo can be used as a promotional tool
to promote my company's production fascilities and products.
I understand that there are a couple of people today who make
a living in this area.  There is certainly room for much more
work.
