P3D 3D Movies

|panel Cinerama and 70MM Todd-AO films from the early 50's, but he too
|remembers seeing "House of Wax" and "Creature" with red & blue glasses,
|v.s the actual polaroid glasses which were used. Perhaps the anaglyph
|comicbooks of the time, plus the various incarnations of anaglyph
|(3DTV, film re-releases, etc) inbetween may have clouded the public
|perception.

I remember (now that you asked :-) both House of Wax and Charge
at Feather River as using polarized glasses, mainly because I wanted
to keep 'em to experiment with - and the theater required for you to
return them before you could leave :-)

I *very* vaguely remember 3D comics (which would have been early 50's) and
in fact I saved them - but (the usual story) my mother threw them all out
when I went off to college :-(
