The Realist 45 was not made by David White Co., it was made by
Iloca, and marketed by David White as the Realist 45.  I don't
know the details well enough to recite them (check the archives
if you really need them), but David White needed a less expensive
Realist model to compete in the burgeoning low-priced segment of
the market.  Instead of designing and building it themselves, they
had Iloca, a German company, do it for them.
