I too have a Wirgin. I enjoyed it tremendously when I first got it, then 
let it sit for a few years, then when I loaded film again the frames 
overlapped badly. Tried again, same result, put it away for years. Finally
decided to look at it seriously and realized I had stopped putting the
film under the little tab to the right. It has been working perfectly
since.

What I miss is a rangefinder. I make do by taking my Minolta Maxxum 
700si as a combined rangefinder and exposure meter. Sometimes I even take
a few pictures with it in addition to the stereo pictures. My wife finds 
it funny that I'm using a _very_ sophisticated camera as an adjunct to
a camera I paid $7.50 for, possibly in 1974.

Still, I'm not a zealot, I do leave the Wirgin home at times.
