P3D Re: 3D realism and focus cues

Since there has been so much said on this thread, I will not use any quotes.
This is my first post, but I have been reading P3D for several months.
My first 3D was with a Stereo-Tach in the early 40's. I made an attachment
for a movie camera before "House of Wax" was released. Saw the press
preview showing of that film.
My eyes have gotten pretty bad (my best eye was 20/800) so my photography
has practically ceased.
After having cataract surgery on both eyes, I now have at least 20/25 in
each
eye.
It has been my experence that everything in a stereo slide should be in as
good focus as possible. Now, since I have plastic interoccular lenses in my
eye, there is no way my eye will adjust for distance. Even so, the focus is
sharp from about 3 feet to infinity. When looking at close objects, distance
objects appear to be out of focus. Can't be. This appears to be what happens
when looking at a stereo pair.
Sorry to take up so much time but since my eyes are now so much like a
cameras, I thought you would like to hear my experences.
PS: BTW I use a 2.8 Realist that I bought new when the 2.8's first came out.
