**** At a minimum, support the natural modes of freeviewing whenever
possible. For the best and largest pictures, make sure they are crossed mode
since parallel is not practical in large scale. Include one or more viewing
devices for the uninitiated, include a CD-ROM with JPS or PNS images and
software for the digitally inclined. Books with CD's are a very useful
combination.
You might want to talk with Alan Lewis about his foldable freeviewer's
assistant. That would be useful for both parallel and crossed versions of
side by side pairs.
If the theme of the book is 3D, avoid use of single 2D images, but do
include a few grayscale anaglyphs. Only use color anaglyphs if they actually
work cleanly.
I like the idea of using viewmaster reels too. A 3D book should have all
this going for it rather than limit it's effectiveness by use of a single
method. 3D by it's nature is not a single method.
