P3D Re: Stereo Photo Books.

Re: seeking advice on stereo book production/publishing:

Thank you for the contributions so far:

Not _entirely_ crossed out.... I made (personal) VM reels of last
years activity on the project, but overall I think a book would
have a wider appeal. A professionally made VM 3-reel set is
attractive, probably particularly so to a P3D audience, but I
find that the VM images I have are very limited compared with the
7-perf stereo pairs. I realise that some folks (W+M-A Sell, H.z
Kleinsmiede, J. Drouin) on this list are very experienced in VM
     production.

I couldn't agree more. I started documenting this project just
for fun two years ago. It _has_ been fun, but now my obsession
keeps taking me across Europe to aborted launches (two so far),
and crunch time is approaching. But in the (not terribly likely)
event that the project succeeds (while I have it in focus), then
I really need to move fairly quickly before it is 'old news'.

Now here's a man after my own heart! An all-formats stereo book!.
Seriously, there are good ideas here, but I _had_ hoped to narrow
things down!, and I fear that there is a danger of adding complexity
     without adding real interest.

What is practical? (I feel that the images should be viewable in 2D
     - as in image pairs or colour anaglyphs, and that one sort of viewer
     should be provided)

     What will it cost?

Do publishers/printers help, or is self-publish the only way to go?
I read Bill Walton's and Jamie Drouins excellent stereocard/VMreel
     production accounts with great interest.

Anyone with book experience out there?

     Thanks!

     Jeremy
