There are several ways to overcome your problem. Look around at
different cube taps. (the things you plug into the wall to give extra
outlets, usually 3) I have found some that will fit into the projector
leaving you with two prongs that are now no longer recessed. You can
then use any suitable extension cord.
I have also seen recently some types of 2 conductor extension cords that
will fit the projector with a minimum of modification with a knife.
Sorry I don't have specific model numbers but they're out there. You'll
find them if you keep your eyes open. Check Home Depot type stores and
Radio Shack.
