"Free viewing" to me means seeing a stereo pair in stereo without the aid of a
viewer. So, both parallel- and cross-viewing are technically forms of
"free-viewing".
I have to say that I am impressed with your conversions (and most of the others
that have been brought to my attention on P3D). Most of the images are very,
very good.
A couple have problems, though. Two that stand out are "I'm the king of the
world", where the shorter fellow's head seems to be over-rotated, making it look
much too deep. The other is captioned "You jump, I jump... right?", where it
looks like two different frames of the film were used. The lady's facial
expression is clearly different in the two views, and the man's fingers have
shifted in her hair. This causes some retinal rivalry for me.
But those are merely quibbles; this is impressive work. Would you mind sharing
your technique, or is it a secret?
