P3D line length

     An appeal to all of you !
     
     Can somebody please explain to me why it seems so difficult
     to keep the linelength within, let's say, 70 positions ?
     I really have problems with offendings against this rule.
     Even our moderators have to pop in from time to time to
     raise their finger.
     Have a look at Digest # 2538 and #2541 for instance. 
     Linelengths from 544 to 712 ! This could be prevented by a 
     correct configuration of your mail software only once !
     I can choose from two options:
     
     - First edit all digests and then read them to grow
       wiser from all the, more then useful, information you
       come up with every day
     
     or
     
     - Have all the digests in a 'readable' format when I
       receive them and have more time left to grow wiser.
     
     I prefer the latter. Please, please invest a little of
     your time to save the rest of us a lot.
     
     Or am I the only one, again, (apart from the moderators) 
     who is complaining ?  8<[)> (spectacles, moustache & beard)
