Ah shucks, I had a strong feeling someone would spoil the party and
feel this way. Wasn't there a post a long time ago regarding this
matter? Anyways, if that is the case, personally I would still be
interested but it would be an important loss to the 3D-CD project
IMO.
I am not sure why the person involved feels this way but hopefully
their posts can be removed (especially if they aren't a frequent
poster). It shouldn't be that hard. If that doesn't pan out.....
A possible solution might be, offering the CD only to P3D members
and not to the public. Especially if offered for archival purposes
and non-profit, the person would have no recourse? What is the
jurisprudence on this matter? Not being a lawyer, my naive feeling
is that I don't see much of a difference between having said person
X's posts archived on the calcite server or being on CD. So if
offered as an archival medium and non-profit, is there any problem?
P.S. Actually there is a WORLD of difference between having ones
posts on the server vs. a CD. The CD is only available to a small
group of people while the arhives are available to the WORLD. How
come there is no objection to "their" property there???
Gabriel, opening up a can of worms.
