Okay all you viewer builders and tinkerers out there, Paul Talbot has
created some sort of storage page for slides which has a diffusing
background and, according to all reports, is great for storing slides.
Dr George states that he loves using the pages as they are much easier
to browse through when making up presentations or looking for that
"award winning" competition slide.
My question is, can anyone make a viewer that will accept these pages
without removing the slides? Similar to a Tru-Vue maybe(if I understand
what the Tru-Vue system is)?
One "project" that never really got going for me was to convert a
microfilm viewer to be used with this type of slide archival page for my
2x2 slides (of which I have many!). The idea was that I could slip a
page of 20 slides into the holder and browse through (or show) them.
Ideally, in my mind anyway, you could either use the unit in preview
mode or project mode. Of course, being young with no money and no
project area to pursue this, everything except the slides eventually got
junked. Now, being older, with kids and no money, time or project room,
the idea probably won't get very far in my household.
Anyway, I think a viewer that would take the archvial pages would be
great. So all you viewer hackers, get with it :-) :-)
Ron
