I don't qualify as a "viewer builder and tinkerer," but I have a
few observations to contribute. First, the pages are almost 9-1/2
inches wide. It would take quite a bulky viewer to accommodate
them!
The pages hold 10 pairs of slides, in 5 rows of two per row. Would
you envision two sets of eyepieces? Another option would be the
ability to slide the page left to right to view the slides, but
then the viewer width would really be getting out of control! If
you envision a lighted viewer, you couldn't just leave the sides
open for sliding right and left, because the top and bottom have to
be open for sliding vertically.

My poor man's approach would be to lay the page on a light table,
and view them with my PT'd$3. (A $3 viewer with the diffuser
cut off, and the lenses replaced with DrT's Revere achromats.)
If you want to view your slides magnified by a viewer, however, the
frosted back pages are not the ideal choice. The diffusion effect
of the frosted back will make the slides appear very soft. Non-frosted
back pages (which I can also provide on request) would be a better
choice. IMO, it is better to freeview your Realist slides if you
want to see them in 3D without removing them from the frosted back
storage page.

Maybe a real hacker can add some better thoughts!
