The difference between the views in each viewfinder is so small that
for every practical purpose they are the same (assuming parallax within
reason as it is the case for a *viewable* stereo pair).  The Steinheil
attachment that you mention is different because it changes the FL and
there is a big difference in the field of view.  I suggest that you
continue to look through one viewfinder only,  What could be of potential
value is a *stereo* viewfinder...
