P3D VRex glasses

Has anyone who owns a pair of VREX glasses noticed that if you shade the
right side of the goggles with your hand it works better? I can only
figure that my goggles are picking up infrared reflections as well as
the normal signal. If I mask a portion of the signal with my hand, it
really works great.
I also find that if I partially cover the sending unit (blocking some of
the IR), the goggles work much better also.
Has anybody else noticed this? Do I have a bad set of goggles? Any
hints would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & regards,
Ron
Hi Ron, Yes I've seen what you're talking about and yes it does have to
do exteranious sp? infared coming from ambient lighting and reflections
from the sending unit. I had more of a problem with it on when playing
the vhs tape thru my vcr and tv combo. I asked tech support about this
and they said to try different combinations of ambient light (on/off)
and changing angles and distances from the transmitter to the glasses.
It worked and didn't take long either.
Also had another strange problem that tech support pointed me right to
by having me change something in my drivers. After loading a 3d picture,
my monitor would remain blank (black) until I rebooted my monitor and
then it would appear! Strange, but the problem immediately disappeared
after his help! Love their tech support guys! Call them!!
