P3D The BEST film for Dale Labs repros

Don't fool with the movie film-style negative film offered by Dale, Seattle and such - IF you want low-grain, hand-viewable slides from it. Instead, start w/ Kodak Royal Gold 25 (formerly known by the less marketable name of "Ektar 25"). It's the finest grain, color neg. film that I'm aware of. Ask Dale to NOT cut the negs (or slides) and develop the slides using an AVERAGE setting (you can send them a sample slide to gauge from). You will get back what I judge to be passable slides that resemble slightly paler versions of 200ASA or 400ASA slide originals. I've done this w/ Realist and VM formats with satisfactory results. They look as good, or better, than a slide-to-slide dupe and are MUCH cheaper.

What has been anyones experience w/ hi-res, digital SCANS of original slides (and possible touch-ups) and reimaging them back onto slide film?
