  How do I make sure the camera is in proper working condition?

  $15? I was told they go for $300! If you're serious, please let me know. :-)

  Viewmasters have given me the best 3-D experience yet; if Realist/etc
  slides are better, then I'm really looking forward to seeing some.  

  The only downside I see with viewmasters is the inability to "mass"
  produce them. (to give to friends, to trade with other people).
  Sounds like using regular slides is a much better idea, given that there's
  less effort required to mount them.
