P3D Using Filters on Realists (previously unanswered questions)

Although I recieved a couple reponses to my previous requests, I still
don't have answers to the following questions. Any information will be
greatly appreciated.

1) How long ago did they stop manufacturing Series-V filters?

2) Are all/most/any of the current standard filter colors available in
Series-V. Specifically, I'm interested in #'s
6,8,9,11,15,25,29,47,49,58,61, 80a,80b,80c, 81a,81b,81c.

3) How big a problem is fading with old filters?

4) Does anyone have a better solution than mine for using currently
available glass filter sizes on a realist? (My Suggestion was to use a
32.5mm-46mm step-up ring augmented with a bit of tape to allow it to
screw snugly onto the the sunshade/filter holder.
